LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

ChatGPT is powerful but unsafe for legal, medical, therapy, confidential work, or sensitive data. Misuse has led to lawsuits, fines, and even health crises.

🔍 Details

  1. Legal Advice – Courts worldwide caught fake citations; lawyers fined heavily. No legal privilege in chats.

  2. Therapy – Millions use it as a counselor; risks include reinforcing suicidal or delusional thoughts. Laws now ban AI therapy in some states.

  3. Confidential Work – Uploading sensitive documents risks leaks; Samsung and DHS faced scandals over exposed data.

  4. Medical Advice – Wrong health guidance has led to hospitalizations; HIPAA doesn’t protect ChatGPT chats.

  5. Passwords & IDs – Shared chats exposed online; sensitive info can persist and resurface, risking identity theft.

✅ Takeaway: ChatGPT is great for learning and drafting, but never trust it with legal, medical, therapy, confidential, or sensitive personal data. Treat it as a tool, not a professional.

Google’s MVP satellite launches Oct 1 to test solar-powered AI chips in orbit, marking the first step toward space-based data centers for Gemini AI workloads.

🔍 Details

  1. Launch Date & Mission – Scheduled for October 1, 2026, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from California.

  2. Satellite Specs – Named MVP, about the size of a refrigerator, carrying four Google TPUs (Tensor Processing Units).

  3. Partnership – Built in collaboration with Planet Labs, leveraging their satellite bus design.

  4. AI Workloads – Will run Gemini AI queries for short bursts (about 15 minutes at a time) before cooling.

  5. Power Source – Equipped with solar panels generating ~1 kilowatt, enough for basic AI tasks.

  6. Testing Goals – Evaluate TPU resilience against radiation, extreme temperatures, and rocket vibrations.

  7. Future Plans – Google aims to launch two more satellites in 2027 and eventually fleets of 80+ satellites linked by laser communication.

  8. Long-Term Vision – By the mid-2030s, orbital data centers could match Earth-based costs, offering scalable, solar-powered AI compute.

✅ Takeaway: Google’s Project Suncatcher is a moonshot experiment to move AI computing into orbit, tackling Earth’s energy limits. If successful, space-based AI data centers could revolutionize global computing power.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.

“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”

Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
