Meta's Bold AI Play

Meta is working with the US government to integrate its Llama AI model across various departments.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced during Meta's Q3 earnings call that the company has partnered with the US State Department to address challenges like access to clean water, reliable electricity, and small business support.

Additionally, Meta is exploring how Llama can streamline the student financial aid process with the Department of Education. These collaborations do not involve financial transactions.

Meta's Q3 2024 earnings report also highlighted a 19% increase in revenue, reaching $40.5 billion, driven by advancements in AI and advertising.

Google's AI Weather: Now on More Pixels

Google has rolled out its standalone AI-powered weather app, initially launched with the Pixel 9, to older Pixel devices including the Pixel 6, 7, and 8 series.

The app provides AI-generated weather summaries, customizable weather data blocks, and a weather map showing a six-hour forecast. Users can track weather in multiple locations and receive daily forecasts and weather warnings.

The app aims to enhance user experience with visually appealing backgrounds and detailed weather information.
