Meta’s AI Image Generator got Problem
Meta’s AI-powered image generator has shown difficulty in generating images of interracial relationships. Despite numerous attempts using prompts like “Asian man and Caucasian friend,” “Asian man and white wife,” and “Asian woman and Caucasian husband,” the AI tool was only able to return an accurate image featuring the races specified once.
Inaccurate Representations and Stereotypes
The AI tool also struggled with generating images of platonic relationships between people of different races. When asked for a picture of an “Asian woman with Black friend,” the AI-generated image showed two Asian women. The tool also leaned heavily into stereotypes, adding elements resembling a bindi and sari to the South Asian women it created without being asked.
Bias in Representation
There are subtle indications of bias in what the system returns automatically. For example, Meta’s tool consistently represented “Asian women” as being East Asian-looking with light complexions, even though India is the most populous country in the world. It added culturally specific attire even when unprompted and generated several older Asian men, but the Asian women were always young.
INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY
Great Investment Opportunity in Technology
Invest before this company becomes a household name
What if you had the opportunity to invest in the biggest electronics products before they launched into big box retail, would you?
Ring changed doorbells and Nest changed thermostats. Early investors in these companies earned massive returns, but the opportunity to invest was limited to a select, wealthy few. Not anymore. RYSE has just launched in 100+ Best Buy stores, and you're in luck — you can still invest at only $1.50/share before their name becomes known nationwide.
They have patented the only mass market shade automation device, and their exclusive deal with Best Buy resembles that which led Ring and Nest to their billion-dollar buyouts.
