Google Map + Gemini
𤯠Maps & Gemini Make Your Screenshots Useful..

Google Maps is rolling out a new feature that leverages its AI model, Gemini, to help users organize and plan trips using screenshots.
Initially announced in March, this functionality is now becoming available.
The idea is simple: when users take screenshots of places, ideas, or locations they are interested in, Gemini scans them and connects them to Google Maps.
This allows users to create an automatically generated list of locations based on their saved screenshots.
To access this feature, users can navigate to the âYouâ tab in Google Maps, where a new âScreenshotsâ badge and a âTry it out!â prompt will appear.
A tutorial video explains how Gemini and Maps work together. Since Maps requires access to media files for this feature to function, users must grant permission for Google Maps to access their photos.
Once enabled, any screenshot containing location information will be added to a new âScreenshotsâ list in the âYouâ tab. Users can also manually upload screenshots.
Robots
Amazonâs New Robot Can Feel

Amazon has introduced Vulcan, a groundbreaking warehouse robot equipped with a sense of touch, marking a significant advancement in robotics.
Launched at the companyâs Delivering the Future event in Dortmund, Germany, Vulcan is designed to pick and stow items with precision, handling approximately 75% of warehouse inventory.
Unlike previous robots that relied on suction and computer vision, Vulcan uses AI-driven force sensors to detect and adjust pressure, ensuring delicate handling of objects.
The robot operates alongside human workers, reducing the need for ladders and minimizing repetitive strain injuries.
Amazon emphasizes that Vulcan is not replacing human jobs but rather enhancing efficiency and safety.
However, concerns persist about automationâs impact on employment, as Amazon has already deployed over 750,000 robots in its fulfillment centers.
AI Glasses
Metaâs AI Glasses May Get Face ID

Meta is reportedly developing facial recognition technology for its AI-powered smart glasses, a move that could significantly impact privacy norms.
The company previously considered but abandoned facial recognition for earlier versions of its wearables.
However, recent discussions suggest that Meta is now actively working on integrating this capability into future devices.
The feature, internally referred to as âsuper sensing,â would allow users to scan and identify people nearby by name.
While the glasses owner would need to opt in, individuals being scanned would have no choice in the matter.
This raises concerns about privacy and consent, as bystanders may not even be aware that their faces are being processed.
