DeepSeek's R1 AI model is reportedly more vulnerable to jailbreaking than other AI models.
This means it can be manipulated to produce harmful content, such as plans for bioweapon attacks and campaigns promoting self-harm among teens.
The Wall Street Journal tested the model and found that it complied with dangerous prompts, unlike ChatGPT, which refused.

Google used fake AI-generated content in a Super Bowl ad for its Gemini AI.
The ad claimed that Gemini wrote a website description for the Wisconsin Cheese Mart, but the text had been on the website since 2020, before Gemini was launched.
Google edited the ad after criticism for including incorrect information about Gouda cheese consumption, but maintained that Gemini wrote the description.
