Apple's AI plans
Apple researchers have revealed a significant AI breakthrough that could make Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, much smarter. In a new paper titled ‘ReALM: Reference Resolution As Language Modeling’, the researchers explain how Apple’s AI system will aim to consider both the content on your device’s screen and the tasks you are currently performing. This is intended to help Siri understand the context of your requests by knowing what image is on screen, what music is playing in the background, or which iPhone alarm just sounded.
Outperforming GPT-4
Apple researchers claim that their AI is able to “substantially” outperform GPT-4, the large language model (LLM) that drives the paid-for ChatGPT Plus, for this particular “reference resolution” task. This suggests that Siri could finally shake its reputation as a sub-par digital assistant.
Competition in AI
It’s not just Apple making strides in AI. Samsung’s Bixby, which has an even worse reputation than Siri, is apparently on the cusp of gaining its own generative AI features. This indicates that whether you’re an iOS or Android user, there’s good news on the horizon for AI chatbots embedded in your phone.
The Future of Siri
If the researchers’ technology were to make it into Siri, it could mark a huge step up for Apple’s much-maligned assistant. Interestingly, Apple says its largest LLM is the one that substantially outclasses GPT-4 for this ‘reference resolution’ task1. Yet even the company’s smallest LLM achieved “performance comparable to that of GPT-4.” This indicates that Apple’s AI research has produced some impressive results.
AI Drug Design
AI will autonomously design new drugs.
Scientists at Eli Lilly have been using generative AI to search through millions of molecules. The AI can generate as many molecules in five minutes as Lilly could synthesize in an entire year in traditional wet labs. This speed of discovery is testing the limits of artificial intelligence in medicine.
Surprising Results
The top AI-generated biological designs, molecules that were described as having “weird-looking structures” that could not be matched to much in the company’s existing molecular database, but that looked like potentially strong drug candidates, were taken to Lilly research scientists. The scientists were expected to point out everything wrong with the AI-generated designs, but instead, they found the designs interesting and acknowledged that they hadn’t thought about designing a molecule in that way.
The Future of Drug Design
According to experts at Lilly and Nvidia, within a few years, AI will not only think up new drugs, but ones that humans could not create. This indicates that the field of AI and health care is on a trajectory that will see medicines completely generated by AI in the near future. This could open pathways in medicine development that humans may not have otherwise explored.
AI Tutorial
Beginner's guide to using ChatGPT.

ChatGPT is a groundbreaking AI-enabled tool that uses GPT-3.5 technology to generate natural language responses to user inputs. Its versatility and ability to understand complex instructions have made it a go-to for people seeking answers to virtually any query.
Accessing and Interacting with ChatGPT
To access ChatGPT, go to chat.openai.com or use the mobile app and sign in or sign up. In the message box on the ChatGPT homepage, type your question or prompt. ChatGPT generates an answer based on your question, and it appears below your question. Once you have the answer to your prompt, you can enter a new prompt, regenerate the response, copy the response, share the response, or like or dislike the response.
Tips for Using ChatGPT Effectively
Provide Clear and Concise Instructions: Providing clear and unambiguous instructions is crucial for using ChatGPT effectively.
Break Down Complex Problems into Smaller Ones: Breaking down more significant issues into smaller ones can help produce more accurate, relevant, and detailed responses.
Feed with Examples: Providing an example of the required output format in the prompt can make ChatGPT more accessible.
Experiment with Phrasing: ChatGPT is sensitive to slight changes in phrasing. Trying different variations or rephrasing your prompts can help fine-tune your prompts to get the best results.
Use System-level Instructions: A system message is a prompt that starts with “System: ” and allows you to guide the model’s behavior.
By setting the context or providing specific instructions in the system message, you can influence the model’s responses throughout the conversation, making them more consistent or tailored to your needs.
AI STOCKS
Goldman Sachs Highlights Top Stocks

AI data centers are expected to drive a massive surge in U.S. power demand. According to a study by Goldman Sachs, the power demand for data centers is forecasted to grow at a 15% compound annual growth rate from 2023-2030. This growth is expected to increase data centers’ share of total U.S. power demand to 8% by 2030, up from the current level of approximately 3%.
Investment Opportunities
The escalating electricity needs from running AI data centers will create downstream investment benefits in the utilities, renewable energy generation, and industrial sectors. The trend is projected to drive approximately $50 billion in capital investment in U.S. power generation capacity by 2030.
Top Stocks to Benefit
Goldman Sachs has pinpointed 16 stocks rated as “buy” across various sectors, including Utility, Clean Technology, Midstream, Energy Services, Industrials, and Industrial Tech. Some of the highlighted stocks include Vertiv Holdings Plc (NASDAQ:VRT), NextEra Energy Inc. (NYSE:NEE), Cameco Corporation (NYSE:CCJ), EQT Corporation (NYSE:EQT), and Fluence Energy Inc. (NASDAQ:FLNC).
Future Power Generation
Analysts estimate that about 47 GW of additional power generation capacity will be necessary to accommodate the growth in U.S. data center power demand by 2030. This demand is anticipated to be met by approximately 60% gas and 40% renewable sources.
