AI made James Bond's trailer hits 2.5M views.
A fan-made James Bond trailer featuring Henry Cavill and Margot Robbie has gone viral, receiving over 2 million views on YouTube. The trailer, uploaded on April 13, uses the likeness of Cavill and Robbie to tease a new Bond movie, despite being entirely fake.
The Creators Behind the Trailer
The video originates from the YouTube channel KH Studio, which creates “concept trailers” to generate anticipation for future releases. The channel has been active for over a year and has created dozens of fake movie trailers, including ones for a third Top Gun movie, a new Spider-Man film starring Andrew Garfield, and a fake teaser for a fourth Back to the Future movie.
The Reality of the James Bond Franchise
In reality, neither Cavill nor Robbie are known to be attached to the next entry in the long-running James Bond series. The series is currently being retooled by producer Barbara Broccoli after Daniel Craig ended his five-movie run as 007 with 2021’s No Time to Die.
Cavill’s Connection to the Bond Role
Henry Cavill’s name has been attached to the Bond role for years due to his stature as a British leading man with a history of making action films. Cavill has previously spoken about taking a screen test prior to Craig’s casting for 2006’s Casino Royale. However, he recently stated in an interview that he has no idea about the rumors of him playing Bond and that it’s up to the producers to decide.

World's largest neuromorphic computer, with 1.15B neurons.
Intel, in partnership with the US Department of Energy’s Sandia National Laboratories, has unveiled Hala Point, the world’s largest neuromorphic computer. This system is powered by 1,152 Loihi 2 chips, enabling a total of 1.15 billion artificial neurons and 128 billion synapses distributed over 140,544 neuromorphic processing cores.
The Evolution of Neuromorphic Computing at Intel
Hala Point represents a significant leap from Intel’s previous multi-chip Loihi system, Pohoiki Springs, which used just 768 Loihi 1 chips. This new system brings compute efficiency that rivals GPUs and CPUs on some tasks.
The Purpose of Hala Point
Sandia Labs plans to use Hala Point for “brain-scale computing research” to solve problems in areas of device physics, computer architecture, computer science, and informatics. This marks the first time standard deep neural networks can run at this scale in a neuromorphic system.
The Future of Neuromorphic Computing
Neuromorphic computing, which aims to build computation that resembles some aspect of the way the brain is formed, has seen many developments over the years. With Hala Point, Intel continues to focus on “edge” computing devices, pushing the boundaries of this exciting field.

Meta ramps up AI battle with Llama 3 release.
Meta Platforms has released early versions of its latest large language model, Llama 3, and an image generator that updates pictures in real time while users type prompts. This is part of Meta’s efforts to catch up to generative AI market leader OpenAI.
Llama 3’s Capabilities
Llama 3 has been equipped with new computer coding capabilities and has been trained on images as well as text. However, for now, the model will output only text. More advanced reasoning capabilities, like crafting longer multi-step plans, will be added in subsequent versions.
Future Plans for Llama 3
Versions of Llama 3 planned for release in the coming months will be capable of “multimodality”, meaning they can generate both text and images. The goal is to help make users’ lives easier, whether it’s interacting with businesses, writing something, or planning a trip.
Expansion of Meta AI
The Meta AI assistant is expanding to more than a dozen markets outside the US with the update, including Australia, Canada, Singapore, Nigeria, and Pakistan. Meta is still working on the right way to do this in Europe, where privacy rules are more stringent.
