LATEST AI UPDATES
Meta

Meta has introduced SEAMLESSM4T, an AI model capable of translating speech in real-time across 101 languages.
Unlike traditional models that convert speech to text before translating, SEAMLESSM4T directly translates speech into speech, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
The AI supports translation into 36 languages and is 23% more accurate than current top models. Meta has made the data and code publicly available for non-commercial use, encouraging further development and optimization.
This innovation marks a significant step towards a universal AI interpreter, bridging language barriers more effectively than ever before.
Microsoft Office

Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscriptions will soon include Copilot AI features across Office apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
These features will assist with tasks such as writing documents, analyzing spreadsheets, summarizing emails, and creating presentations.
Additionally, the AI-powered Microsoft Designer app will be included.
However, this update comes with a significant price increase: Family subscriptions will rise by 30%, and Personal subscriptions by nearly 43%. Subscribers will receive 60 AI credits monthly to use with Copilot and Microsoft Designer.
Apple

Apple has paused its AI-based news notification summarization feature following backlash over repeated errors.
The AI system inaccurately summarized news reports, leading to misleading notifications. One notable error involved a BBC notification that falsely claimed Luigi Mangione, accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, had taken his own life.
In response to complaints from media organizations, Apple has temporarily disabled the feature for news and entertainment apps in its latest beta software updates. The company plans to improve the feature and reintroduce it in a future update.
